Naturopathy

The art of healing comes from the nature and not from the physician. Therefore, the physician must turn to nature with an open mind.

Naturopathy is based on the belief that the body can naturally heal itself. It proposes natural healing techniques which use the healing powers of the nature. It aims to improve the overall health, prevent diseases and treat illnesses through:

  1. Nutritional organic food
  2. Exercise
  3. Healthy and well balanced lifestyle
  4. Treatments from other areas of complementary medicine

Naturopathy adopts many treatments from other areas of complementary or alternative medicine which include:

  1. Yoga
  2. Ayurveda
  3. Homeopathy
  4. Herbal therapies
  5. Acupuncture
  6. Acupressure
  7. Auriculotherapy

The term ‘Naturopathy’ was coined in 1895 by ‘John Scheel’ and purchased by Benedict Lust, the ‘Father of U.S. Naturopathy’. Naturopaths claim the ancient Greek “Father of Medicine”, Hippocrates, as the first ever advocate of ‘Naturopathic Medicine’, even before the term existed.

Naturopathy treatments are both safe and effective. Their paramount focus is to detoxify the body and mind, thus curing the root cause of all diseases. These treatments are completely natural and drug free. They are also designed to help maintain one’s wellness once the initial condition is rectified. Naturopathy treatments are based on the five vital elements of nature which have immense healing powers.

Vital Elements & Treatments:

1. Earth: Mud baths, Mud packs, Body wraps

2. Water: Hydrotherapeutic methods which includes, Baths (Hip bath, Spinal bath, Anti-stress bath, Steam bath), Immersions, Jets, Douches, Wet packs, Compresses, Colonic hydrotherapy

3. Air: Breathing exercises, Walking outdoor, Open air baths

4.Fire: Sun baths, Thermoleum baths, Magnetized water, Colour charged oils or water
